Coffee is an injection of energy that helps us get through our work or student day. This happens thanks to the renowned properties of caffeine, such as increased concentration, production of adrenaline, etc. However, there are times of day when these effects may be less or more effective.
For this reason we have decided to give you some tips for choosing the perfect time to have your cup of coffee!

IN THE MORNING IS COFFEE TIME

Often, we wake up with the idea of making a delicious breakfast and having a cup of coffee. It's a great custom! But in the early hours of the morning, caffeine does not always wake up our body in a lasting way. In fact, during these hours, the body is already very active due to the production of high levels of cortisol. In other words, caffeine has almost no effect. The best times in the morning to drink our coffee are from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; In addition, the coffee we recommend drinking is a coffee or an espresso. Before, for our breakfasts, we can opt for a good decaffeinated coffee.

…AND AFTERNOON…

The same situation is repeated at other times of the day: quite high peaks of the hormone cortisol also occur in our body from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. and between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Therefore, it would be advisable to have your cup of black coffee or a short drink with milk after eating. Then, to have a snack and give yourself the pleasure of a sweet break, you can opt for a cappuccino, a carajillo or a delicious mocca, if you have a sweet tooth.

That, in general, is what we advise you to maximize the effects of caffeine during your day. However, if you just want to have a coffee in the company of your friends or family accompanied by a good dessert or cookie, it doesn't matter what time you choose! We are waiting for you at CaféLab at any time, trying to turn the moment in which you drink your favorite coffee into a perfect moment.
